LA SAL MOUNTAINS

I drove up the steep grade into Arches National Park one late afternoon to see what symphony the evening sun would play that day.  This is what was playing:  The La Sal Mountain Range--painted pink by the late winter sunset of the distant horizon--accented by the bright orange of the petrified dunes and the brown sage in the foreground.
